Analysis of Micro Pattern Forming by R2R

- Forming analysis of micro-patterns on a metal sheet by R2R process. 
- Optimal design of the pattern shape to prevent crack and wrinkling formation.
- To prevent wrinkling formation due to an uneven material flow, a dummy guide was introduced. The guide shapes and location were optimized to get a uniform material flow. 



Analysis of Lead Screw Forming

- The thread rolling of lead screw was analysed. The folding and crack defects were predicted. The contact stress and strain on tool were also predicted. 




Prediction of Cracks in Bolt Heading Process and Optimization

- The forming of TORX screw head was analyzed to reduce the crack and folding defects. The punch stroke and preform shape were optimized to reduce the defects. Through the optimization, the damage value was reduced a lot and folding defect also removed.
